Academic Policies and Student Affairs Committee responsibilities:
1. Recommend policy on the admission of students;
2. Recommend policy on the maintenance of students’ records;
3. Recommend academic requirements for the degree awarded by the College;
4. Recommend policy on probation or suspension of student for academic reasons;
5. Recommend policy on change of program for students;
6. Recommend academic standards for honors;
7. Recommend policy concerning all aspects of commencement, convocation, and other ceremonies;
8. Recommend policy on scholarships, loans, grants-in-aid, and the employment of students on campus;
9. Recommend policy governing student campus life in such areas as counseling services, placement services, extra-curricular activities and campus discipline;
10. Recommend policy on food services, book store, student insurance and services, campus bus service, and the utilization of campus facilities;
11. Recommend policy on dismissal of students for other than academic reasons;
12. Recommend a College calendar. A representative from the Records Office will be invited to APSA meetings when the College calendar is being discussed;
13. Conduct research and development in the areas of responsibility outlined above.
